A year filled with highlights and high points continues for Midwest Barrel Co. Co-Founder and CEO Jess Loseke, as she recently was selected to take part in Leadership Louisville.

As a member of Leadership Louisville’s Class of 2024 – the 45th class – Jess joins 61 other passionate leaders who, through the 10-month course, will be equipped with the knowledge and connected with a strong network needed to have a positive impact on the Louisville community.

"Being new to Louisville, it is important for me to quickly integrate with other leaders - both as a business owner and a citizen," Jess said. "Louisville is filled with innovation and opportunity and I am excited to expand my network."

Leadership Louisville leaders learn about the community’s history, assets and challenges. At the end of the course, they are ready and able to commit themselves to ensuring the region’s success.

"Leadership Louisville offers a platform for me to gain exposure to other businesses and important causes that would take years to learn about on my own," Jess said. "I am looking forward to uncovering new ways I can share my time, talent and treasure in my new city. And make some new friends along the way!"

This is quite the honor for Jess, who has already had a busy year representing Midwest Barrel Co. and honing her entrepreneurial chops. Throughout 2023, she’s been hyper-focused on continually finding ways to enhance the used barrel buying experience for craft breweries, distilleries, backyard BBQ grillmasters and other customers.

Earlier this summer, Jess was named the Pipeline Entrepreneurs Innovator of the Year after completing her yearlong fellowship program with that organization.

This has all been in motion at the same time that Jess has led Midwest Barrel Co. during a major expansion to Kentucky.

Starting just this week, all company warehouse and order fulfillment operations are located at 1001 Glengarry Drive, Suite B in Louisville.

It’s been a busy year for both Jess and MWBC.

The best part? There are still five more months left in 2023.

Cheers!
